1. Service description

CampWatch ("the Service") is a free campsite availability notification tool. It monitors publicly available data from Recreation.gov and sends SMS alerts to users when campsite cancellations are detected within their specified date range.

2. What CampWatch is NOT

Not a booking service. CampWatch does not book, reserve, hold, or guarantee any campsite. When you receive an alert, you must visit Recreation.gov yourself to complete a reservation.
Not affiliated with the government. CampWatch is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Recreation.gov, the National Park Service, the U.S. Forest Service, the USDA, or the Department of the Interior.
Not a guarantee. Campsites may be booked by others before you can act on an alert. Availability data may be delayed or inaccurate. We make no guarantee that you will secure a reservation.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use CampWatch. By using the Service, you represent that you are providing your own phone number and have the authority to consent to receiving automated text messages at that number.

4. SMS consent and messaging

By submitting the signup form, you consent to receive automated text messages about campsite availability at the phone number you provide.
Message frequency varies depending on campsite availability. Typically 0-3 messages per week per active watch.
Message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless carrier and plan.
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any CampWatch message.
For help, reply HELP to any message.
Supported carriers include all major U.S. carriers. Service may not be available on all carrier networks.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Submit phone numbers that do not belong to you.
Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to interact with the Service.
Attempt to overload, disrupt, or abuse the Service or its infrastructure.
Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

6. Limitations and watches

Each phone number may have a maximum of 3 active watches at any time.
Watches may be set for dates up to 1 year in the future.
We reserve the right to limit, suspend, or terminate any user's access to the Service at our discretion.

7. Data and privacy

Your use of CampWatch is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

CampWatch is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free.
Availability data from Recreation.gov will be accurate or current.
Alerts will be delivered before a campsite is booked by someone else.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CampWatch and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to missed reservations, SMS charges, or reliance on availability data.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
