1. Service description

Ranger ("the Service") is an outdoor trip planning and monitoring tool. It helps you plan trips across parks, campgrounds, and trails using publicly available data (Recreation.gov, the National Park Service, OpenStreetMap, and live conditions feeds), lets you save trips to an account, and can send alerts (by push or SMS) about campsite openings and trip safety conditions within your chosen dates.

Your consent to receive text messages is collected separately at the point you opt in, through its own consent checkbox on the alerts page, and is governed by the standalone SMS Terms. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ranger and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to missed reservations, SMS charges, or reliance on availability, conditions, or safety data. You are responsible for your own safety decisions in the outdoors.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
